‘Eco-tourism’ is one of the fastest-growing models that encompass tourists’ rich experience in bucolic farms and on-farm stays. Uttarakhand has a majestic view of the hills that offers a great wealth of nature endowed with medicinal and aromatic herbs that play an essential role in ayurvedic & wellness therapy. Within this gentle, calm nature’s nest, we have created a peaceful farm-stay to take a restful pause to meditate through nature and beautiful lush green valleys.
Rockhill’s mantra is agro-eco-tourism which preserves the environment and assures sustainable living for the locals. Our agriculture-based eco-tourism provides tourists with a fresh perspective of farming in a natural environment along with learning, pleasure, and leisure. To make your stay comfortable, serene, and close to nature, we have built mud-houses from local material that makes them strong, biodegradable, low-carbon, thermal insulated, and sturdy. Our team comprising of residents makes you feel at home with their hospitality and genuineness.
At Rockhill, we have utilized the skills of local farmers and our experience to grow medicinal & aromatic herbs like Rosemary, Dandelion, Lavender, and Chamomile in Uttarakhand soil. Our intention through eco-tourism is to retain the agriculture interest in the tourists as well as the farmers. It assists farmers in marketing their produce and talks about the farming methods and techniques to grow these medicinal plants in detail. Taking advantage of the perfect location, our tourists engage with farming and interact well with locals to explore culture, food, and diversity.
Rockhill offers on-farm stays in mud houses to get you closer to nature and provide you with the rejuvenating centre with aromatherapy & essential oils stay. It begins with understanding herbs in their natural eco-system and extraction of essential oils for therapy and relaxation. So, pamper yourself, heal, relax and rejuvenate to the luxurious tranquillity in mud houses that provides a unique wellness experience. We believe nature heals better when each guest actively takes part in his healing through aromatic herbs.
We have teamed with young enthusiasts from an NGO named DKVS (Dhar Kshetriya Vikas Sangathan), aiming for the betterment of inhabitants. Our eco-tourism activities are not limited to farming and on-farm stays but also include-
